EXHIBIT ENGINE 1.5 developement updates

SETTING UP FIRST TIME

EE basic technical setup procedure:

  1. Edit and test FTP addresses in "ftp server setup" editor.
  2. Test and verify graphics modules in "graphics modules" editor.
  3. Set up and test sizes in "resize methods editor"
  4. Set up paths in "path editor" (keep it simple). Consult EE's internal manual for more upload info (the manual will be updated soon).

Set up your first exhibition before uploading

  1. Use "photographers" editor to add your name and info.
  2. Open "exhibition editor" and rename exhibition and check that is has correct thumb and microthumb paths chosen.
  3. Set up default photo data in "set default photodata" editor.

DAILY STUFF

Uploading

  1. Follow the workflow in upload page.
  2. Only JPEG images are allowed.
  3. Follow upload progress in "ftp messages" window.

NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST 7 PHOTOS IN EE DATABASE (can be hidden, too) TO GAIN FULL SPEED (known issue in EE1.5). EE is actually faster if it has more photos and more exhibitions.
