I would like to shoot pictures using a slow shutter speed (with intentional blurring of my subject). However, there is a fine line between too much blur and not enough when you shoot this way. Instead of shooting a ton of bracketed exposures on slide film (and hope something looks good), I would like use a digital camera to preview the effects before shooting on my film based camera. This would enable me to get my settings close to the final product.
Has anyone used digital for this application? If the image looks good in the LCD of a digital, can I confidently use the same shutter speed setting for my film based camera and expect the same (or nearly so) results?
I would prefer to use the digital instead of a Polaroid back for my Canon EOS-1. The digital would be cheaper and could be used for many purposes.
Please tell me your thoughts on this.
Sincerely,
Ryan
