Well, checked on my order status. They said the expected recieve date is October 7, due to all of the shippers shutting down for Hurricane Rita.

Whoa, your post caused me to go recheck my order. I originally checked this morning, and that was the status I got. Well, lo and behold, I checked it just now and it has shipped !! Expected delivery Sept 26 (ie Monday). This is the second item I've bought from them and I got the first next day (live in Dallas), and it looks like this one will get to me very quickly as well.

Its a great deal at $132 (even though I had to pay taxes so it came out at $142). Even still, I couldn't pass it up either, even though it was #3 on my shopping list (behing the 580ex and 17-40) The last two used BG-E2 I've seen go in the Marketplace forum, the sellers wanted $150 + shipping.

FYI, I got my grip today, just two business days after I ordered. OMG !! Its like a completely different camera. First thing my wife said after I put it on was, "Wow, you look like a professional".

nope, just took the second battery out of mine and it worked just fine. However, I can't see why you wouldn't want 2 batteries. You can buy them for $12 at www.sterlingtek.com. I've got 4 of them. They work great.

it does not come with another battery pack. You will need to purchase an additional battery for it.

I also received my grip today. DHL said it wasn't going to get here until the 29th.... That's three for three with my Dell purchases. The main reason I wanted the grip was for the vertical shutter release. The fact that it makes my camera look cooler is just an added bonus.:razz:

I was wondering when that was gonna happen. There have been a ton of people jumping on this Dell, and we all had to know that Dell was gonna sell out at some point. Have faith, Reminisce, when I ordered my 17-40, they said it was gonna be a Sept 30 ship date, and I ordered it on Sept 24. Well, the lens shipped Sept 25. Hopefully you will get it sooner than Oct 12. The 20d does look like a completely different camera with it on. I've had mine now for 2 days and it functions perfectly.
