Hi all.
I've seem many wonderful shots in this forum and it has inspired me to have a go.
C+C welcome - be as harsh as you like - this is my first attempt at this sort of processing and I need to learn how to improve.

I think the illusion would work better if the boat was coming more towards the viewer. The effect though can be eye catching when used in print (brochures, flyers, etc...)

Thanks for the comment ChP.
I was working with a picture I had taken earlier in the year which inspired this treatment, rather than taking the shot with this in mind. I'll provably have another go and I'll try to keep your comment in mind.

Nice effect. it does look as though the sloping edge is behind the boat - the opposing diagonal help give a 3D effect. You may want to try looking at Action Central (http://www.atncentral.com/)They have loads of neat actions you can import into PS.
Here is an example of the 'Out Of Bounds' action. It leaves the critical decisions up to the user but automates the mundane things. This is my 9yr old daughter on her first go-kart.
