Excellent image, Henk.
Good composition and your images really have the feel of the desert landscapes.

Thanks for the comments. The clouds are actually from a different picture that I shot in the desert a few months ago:

I think this is a great advantage of digital: enhance the pictures in any way you can. Same opinion with other members or is this going too far?

I agree completely - enhance them any way you can (or want.) The final image is what matters. Photographs have been manipulated from almost the very beginning of photography. The purists are kidding themselves.
In the meantime, I congratulate Howie on his detective work!

First let me assure you that I do not take any of this "too-seriously". Digital photography is just a hobby and membership in this forum brings me great enjoyment. Also, let me acknowledge that Henk is a terrific photographer who has posted many exceptional images. That said, I would like to jump over Henk's image and touch on composites.
I am well aware that Ansel Adams burned and dodged his images to deepen his skies. But he did not add Mount Everest within the Sierra Nevada. In this sense, I have no objection to "manipulating" an image -- but surely, the photographer has an obligation to inform his viewers of any such manipulation if they are to intelligently appraise the affected image.
PS:
By the way, I did no "detective work". We all talked at length about Henk's earlier posts which I likened to Shelia's "Dune Runner".

Point taken and I would not have denied if someone plainly asked (see Fred Miranda's forum). On the other hand is adding not equal to cloning? If you clone away a part of the picture or simply crop? Should that be mentioned?
I didn't feel very bad over this manipulation as the sky was also in the desert, less than 10k from the camels.
Honored though that my pictures are discussed amongst fellow members.

So what we're basically saying is that the camel turned into the bloke....and he took the photo?!
Amazing!

Just for curiosity's sake, can you post the original of the camel. I'd like to see the difference it made.

Unedited, straight out of camera, converted from RAW with Breezebrowser:

I like both the edited and unedited version. The unedited version seems very soft and subdued. The clouds liven the pic up a bit. Both are outstanding...
