Nice shots. Thanks for sharing.
I have really been struggling with photos of VB. My daughter is Varsity. We have extremely small gyms in Iowa so I find my 70-200 is too long. I use the 24-70. I shoot at 1600, f2.8, and around 1/500. Still, I am wondering if some of it is the XT. I have great luck shoot shooting other sports. I am getting better, but it is a stuggle.

way to go quasi.... looks like the lighting gods were much kinder to this time, seems you have that aspect well under control. I need to get more rigour and discipline in that area. Cheers!

Nice work, Quasi.
Thanks a lot Dwight. I'm still very frustrated over many things, but I'm getting there slowly.

Thank you very much Croasdail.....we just won't compare keeper ratios. I'm floundering, but with your help as everyone else's I'm keeping at it. I think my biggest issue is focusing and DOF. I'm getting more of a handle on the exposure thing. I can't tell if I have back focusing problems or just what my deal is yet. Probably just practice. I'm such a newbie.....arrrgghhhh.

Keep shooting and posting. That's how we all learn. And I learn so much from everyone.

Nice shots.
Thanks "mdm".......volleyball is a challenge. So I only think about everything that I have been told and have learned on here.....about 80% of my day now. I'm starting to dream about all this stuff now.........sheesh.

Somehow Frank I think your ratio is better than that......lol. I really love those shots of those little boats. That wall of water behind them is totally awesome. Speaking of which, and maybe I shouldn't ask this here of you, but do you have any shots of camaro's say 69-74ish over in the car site. Those are my fav's. I'd like to see them if you do.
