Canon SX210 is or SX310 is?

Hello i have the SX310 is and was wondering if anyone here has Experiential knowledge of these two cameras. I and thinking of returning my 310 for the 210 tomorrow. The video review i seen praised the SX210 over the 310. Battery Life, and time in between shots and indoor pics are my main reason. Thank you Much in advance.

PS: i am a Newbie but want to start with the best canon under 300

I guess you mean that you have the SX130, right?
The SX210 is a better camera than the SX130, but not in image/video quality,
nor in shutter lag, or time between shots. There could be a time difference
when recharging the flash in favor of the SX210 due to its dedicated battery.
Moreover, it is much smaller, has a larger zoom, and has other minor advantages.
I'm not sure, however, that you will feel a major improvement if you make the switch.

You should get the PowerShot ELPH 500 HS when it comes out and is in your 300 dollar budget if you're into touch screen. 12MP, 4.4x Optical zoom that can be used while recording 1080p, F2, 3200 ISO , and uses the HS System. Doesn't seem to have full manual but does have Av and Tv mode.

I have the SX130 but the ELPH 500 HS does better in low light with the specs mentioned above and has full hd and is more compact.

If you can do with the ELPH 500's short zoom, I second the recommendation.
