Help me find a nice remote shutter release. Reason why I am asking for help is that I know different ones do or don't do different things for different cameras. So I though to ask people that have actually used a remote shutter release with this specific camera (Canon 60D) and they know it works with it. Here is the criteria:
Shutter control:
* Not over $50.
* Wireless (very important)
* Able to release it so that I can be taking a picture of myself.
* Works for both photo AND video.
* Zooming would be nice, but not necessary...
EDIT:
Decided to create a separate topic for the microphone...

I found this! (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&A=RetrieveSku&IC=CARC6&Q=) I know it works with Canon 60D out of this review (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/reviews/Canon-EOS-60D-DSLR-Camera-Review.aspx). I was just wondering if someone can find a better one? + I still didn't choose a mic.

Yes that one will work. ONLY the Infrared wireless remotes will start/stop video. They are the RC-1, RC-5, or RC-6 or the cheaper ebay type versions.
Any of these will work too and they are much cheaper than Canon. http://shop.ebay.ca/i.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253 A1%257C72%253A4874&rt=nc&_nkw=ir+remote+canon+t1i&_dmpt=Camera_Camcorder_Remotes&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=15&_sc=1
IR remotes have a shorter range and must be facing the front of the camera. That's why I have the radio wireless type as well. (for the 60D you can use a RS-60E3 wired remote or get a 3rd party radio wireless remote to plug into the same receptacle) http://shop.ebay.ca/i.html?_nkw=RS-60E3+wireless&_sacat=0&_dmpt=Camera_Camcorder_Remotes&_odkw=RS-60E3&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

Sorry, zooming is impossible. You would need to have a lens with a powered zoom first.

I have an Opteka one and it works very well. Nice to be able to set up the camera on a tripod, get into the action in front of and hit the remote. Now, I am also in the pics! No need to photoshop myself in anymore!

I'd also consider the RF-602 wireless shutter and off camera flash trigger combination.

NONE of these fit your 60D. You need the same remotes that work with any of the Digital Rebel series and T1i and T2i.
Like these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ns=p_PRICE_2%7C0&Ntt=remote+xsi&N=0
It may be a little difficult to find one because the 60D is still relatively new and it may not be listed. There is also some confusion because the 60D does not use the same remote ad the 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 5D and 1D series.

Alright, so just to verify... This one is going to work for pictures for sure, but not for the video on Canon 60D (not even wired)? Right?
If yes, then I am done with this topic and I will create a separate one for the microphone.

Correct. That one will work for photos but not for video.
