Anyone in the Peace Country? I am always looking for Photographers to set up shoots with so I can learn more! But up here things are fairly secluded... There's Grand Prairie and Edmonton for the bigger spots, but I'm even further North than that... Peace River, AB!
So anyone in this area! I did a search and no results, so if there is already a thread... HOOK ME UP! Haha
Area includes:
Dawson Creek, BC Clairmont, AB
Peace River, AB Fox Creek, AB
Whitecourt, AB Grimshaw, AB
Valleyview, AB Nampa, AB
Fairview, AB Bluesky, AB
Sexsmith, AB Duncan First Nations
Grande Prairie, AB ETC.

You forgot Spirit River, Wanham, Eaglesham, Codesa, Tangent, Rycroft, Falher .... ;-)
(Is there anything left in Donnelly??)
There are a few POTN members from up that way, but I haven't seen too many.
It's been many many moons since I moved to the Big City. Although my last visit to
Grand Prairie was interesting last winter.
Hope you find a few others from Up North.

You made me laugh lol Donnelly.. who knows! I just moved here from Iowa... holy crap is it deserted up here or what!?
Thanks, hopefully they find me or I find them. I want someone near by to exchange ideas with, or to be able to get together every once in awhile, I love being about to help and be helped.

LOL. So you moved from the middle of No Where, to the other Middle of No Where :-P
Well, if you're into Bird, Wildlife and Nature Photography, you're in a nice location.
There are some amazing locations around you to take photos.
McLennan has a Bird Observatory http://www.kimiwanbirdwalk.ca/
There are lots of wildlife up and down the Peace River Valley.
And if you head over to Grand Prarie, and then south on Highway 40, there
is some great scenery, and if you have a SUV, take Secondary 734 South
from Goodwin for some other great sights (not to mention some fantastic
fishing :-) )
Well, I hope you find some friends up there to enjoy photography with.
OH, and if it's clear tonight, give a look to the North for the Aurora.
I got an e-mail from the observatory, issuing a Yellow Alert tonight
for Aurora Activity. To much snow here tonight to even see the sky.

Ahhhh, I love wildlife, my husband's a hunting guide so I always get to see bears, moose, elk, deer, etc etc. So that's one reason to love the Peace area.
Now as far as Iowa being the middle of nowhere... it's one state away from literally being the heart of the US. And I can from a city surrounded by cities... up and over 250K people. I'm a city girl from Iowa... yep that's possible. Lol, but no matter what I prefer to live in Kelowna, BC the hubby's homecity. :D
And thanks! I love the Northern Lights, I follow the forecast on a site Idk the name of the top of my head... too snowy here right now as well :/
Anyways, take care!!

Well, have fun. And keep an eye out for the odd Albino Moose that they have
up in that country. And I'm sure if you walk around with your camera long enough
you will find someone else who know's what it's for :-)
