They're both very nice, but I think the first one wins! I'd have that hanging on my wall!

Gorgeous shots, Joe. I prefer the first because of the sky and the reflection of colors in the dark water. Super.

Thanks everyone. It was a difficult day, had my 10 yr old stepson along for the hike this time, for all his boundless energy at home he sure was tired on the trail lol. Also the wind was not very kind to me at all, was chasing my hat all afternoon, glad you like them...........Joe

This is like the photo I just responded to "Indian Beach, Oregon Coast" with the very bold colors. I love the first one! Great job!

Both are great, but number one is just awesome!

Both of these are lovely shots. I think that #1 is superb, with the water leading you into the picture. I might have liked to see the top of the tree in the foreground, but that is a really minor point and it may have unbalanced the picture.
Given the number of shots I get that look like this, I think I'd probably have both hanging on my wall, and probably extra copies filling in other blank spaces too!!!!
Thanks for sharing them.

Sorry I missed these earlier. Great shots Joe, particularly the first one.
I usually hike solo, because of the tired/bored kid syndrome. :)
