Wow, what a cake, it's lovely. For the photo I think it's abit overexposed. You could do some cropping, and abit of PP to it. Varying the contrast will give it some nice tones, and make the photographs look nicer too. Play around with it in Photoshop on the colours and you'll see how it can be adjusted.

You'd not given image editing the go ahead, otherwise I would've reposted with an example.

What a great cake! I think there is too much blue tablecloth showing...kind of distracting. A crop would help that as the above poster mentioned.
