Is it possible to have the pictures stamped with the date? HP and Minolta have the option. Also is it possible to have a drive letter assigned to the camera so that the images can me accessed through explorer?

You can print the date on the images when you print through ZoomBrowser. That camera doesn't use PTP, so it won't show up as a drive on your PC. If you are using Mac OS 9/10, it will if you have the camera mounter loaded.

Card readers are pretty cheap (compared to compact flash cards or spare batteries) - I got mine for $17 at a closing down KMART, but they're similar prices at online stores. That will show as a removable drive and is more convenient than plugging the camera in (for me).

Deep_thought,
Ditto!
Although the camera will show up as a drive in XP (it won't in 98SE), I still preferr to use a reader.
I splurged on a SanDisk 6 in 1. It can read/ write to all the common cards and shuffle files from one card to another (which is handy swapping pics in a pinch). It also uses the same DIF-100 connection as my camera (S400), which means I only need one cable whether using my camera or the reader.
It cost $40 at CompUSA, comes with a docking station, and is a little larger than a casette tape.

Shaneo, do you want the date to print, or just want to be able to lookup the date?
