I'm not really sure the name of this one. I didn't get a good look at the wings when it flew away. But by the side view of the wing, it maybe a Fiery Skipper. Took this photo this afternoon. I had my 100mm macro lens on with an ND4 filter.

Very nice capture, is a skipper allright and you have done well by it. The ND4 filter, what does it do? There is a purple cast to the background, is that created by the filter or is that the background.

Hi Dennis, The Neutral Density Filter is like putting on a pair of sunglasses when out shooting during mid-day. The color cast was also the bokeh that the lens made and the color of the asters in the area. This filter is by PROMASTER. Diane
