I got a nice surprise when I opened the shipping box with my 1D MkIIn. A multifunction tool!

Anyone else ever seen one?

Cool...

If you don't want it, I could find a use or two.

LOL! I think I can find a use for it....just didn't know it existed.

After spending big bucks on the 1D MkIIn, it was a pleasant surprise.

I think they ship the tool so the user can finish mounting the camera ? :D :D :D

Common, I'm just jealous :D

Maybe they're trying to off load projected future repair costs to the consumer. Hell, we'll all be paying for our lens hoods next

Maybe it's for adjusting AF issues or solving an ERR-99? No wait! It's for cleaning the sensor

Hmmm. I hope they're not trying to tell you something about your new camera by including that tool with it.

nooo it has nothing to do with the build of the camera, it's to take down various obsticals; it will remove signs such as "stay off the roof", "no tresspassing" and "press-pass required beyond this point" it will also remove your pant leg from the barbwire fence.

Sounds like a great excuse to use it too!

It is used for re-connecting your mates jaws after they have finished gawping at your nice shiny new camera.

Has it got something for taking stones out of horses hoofs?
If you open all the tools in one go I have heard that you can use it as a tripod, is this true?

Just don't take it on an airplane ride with your camera.

Yes in this day and age of terrorists I think it should ride with the tripod in luggage.

A very nice freebie to find in my package.

Probably a "Canon Tatic" so that when they take away your camera, you are forced to buy a one. lol...

Multi-tool?

I think a pocket battery checker -analog- would be more desirable/useful and 'Canon' cool.
