View Full Version : Marbles and Old FD 50mm Lens- Light Tent

G'day guys, been stuck around home lately so decided to make a up a simple light tent from 15mm PVC piping, a double bed sheet and a few desk lamps with 5000k fluros.

Started doing a few test shots last night and everything was very flat, then woke up this morning and shot this one, I think the lighting is pretty good. Used one light from above, one from the left side at 45 degrees and used the 350D built-in flash for fill.

The light tent sure works!

Is there any chance you could post a picture of the contraption itself? I've been looking for an easy way to make one because I don't feel like paying $150+ CDN for one.

thats a great job Jake. gonna have to try that myself when i get some free time. like the others said pics of the setup would be great.

Pretty much the same as Bills there on Pbase, except a little larger. Not even a 10 min job to put together.

I like the light in the second one, maybe you could consider leveling it up a bit towards the left...

From the OOF, it looks like you used the new 50. Can see the 5 blades in the marble reflection.

I have never tried this lightbox thing, but your instructions are so easy I think I will give it a go, thanks for sharing. Oh yeah nice shots btw.............Joe
