Hello all:

I was wondering if anyone has found a place to download the manual for the BG-ED3 battery grip. I can't find it on Canon's site, but maybe I'm just missing it. Any info you have would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks,
Keith

I've got a BG-E3 grip and could scan the manual if you've lost yours. I'd guess that the grips are fairly similar.

Andrew:

If it's not a huge inconvenience for you, I'd like to see one. There's one little sliding switch that has a red dot under it that I don't exactly know what it does. You can email it to keith at keithhood dot com.

thanks,
keith

Well, the BG-E3 has

on/off switch that activates the grip mounted buttons
vertical shutter
AE/FE-Lock button,
AF point selector button,
exposure compensation button
main dial for adjusting aperture / shutter

it doesn't have the switch you have.

I'm guessing this switch is the one for activating the grip mounted buttons. I'll try that tonight when I get home. It's tough having new toys at work when you can't play with them :)

Yup, that's the switch that turns the vertical grip buttons on and off. Other than that, there's not a heckuva lot to know about them (I don't have a manual, either).
