Been abit sick but I just got a cir. pol. in the mail yesterday
so feeling abit better I went out to take a few test pics.
Well I set it to 75mm then took said pics, etc. came inside
to compare them (cir pol vs. no cir pol) and I noticed in the
EXIF data in Adobe Photoshop CS for the JPG (converted from RAW)
it was reporting the focual length as 70mm?? So um.....is this
"normal" ? I mean did I twist the zoom abit too far or what?
URL 2 photo (save for EXIF info) (http://www.fire-fox.info/jastro/gallery/dRebXT-test/Testpic_fullres)

It's a cheapish consumer zoom so maybe they simply used the software from their slightly better model 70-300 to save development costs?
It can't affect the photo's of course but it would be irritating if you also owned a 70-300 zoom and wanted to keep track of which lens took each pic.
I recently aquired an EF50/1.4 and was dissapointed to see that the exif doesnt show wether i'm using the 1.8 lens or the 1.4 :(

I wonder. Just has never done this before even on other pics I set to 75mm.
I wonder if I somehow accidently twisted it slightly past 75mm and thus it
was reporting as 70mm? I dunno. It doesn't matter my only other lens doesn't
get close to it, focual length wise. But on the other hand I plan to upgrade that
to a Sigma EX DG Macro 24-70mm in about a month or two...
