380ex vs 420ex

I have had my G2 for about three weeks now and am interested in a flash - I take alot of indoor pics.

I have been looking at some used flashes. If anyone has any pros or cons regarding the 380ex and 420ex as it pertains to the G2 I would love to read them.

I don't know about the 380EX, but the 420EX is what I have, and it's really the ticket for a lightweight portable flash. One of the best features (aside from fully automatic exposure control and flash angle) is the fact that you can tilt and turn the head to bounce off of any available surface. This makes for much better lighting. It does this with fully automatic exposure control as well.

I am using a 380EX (with my G3) and it is excellent. I believe the only difference to the 420EX is that the head tilts only up and down, not sideways. But it works great.
