im using the said camera in a win 7 OS that has no connection to the internet.
the computer is not allowed to have a usb drive inserted into it (the camera is allowed) the problam is the OS cant properly recognize the camera.
i have searched the internet for a driver but couldnt find anything besides an upgrade to the software that comes with the camera.
is there any solution for this problam?

Sounds like you're trying to load your personal software on your work computer. That's probably against your employer's rules. If it's not, I'd suggest requesting your IT department to burn the latest update to a CD on an on-line machine and install the updated application from that CD. My Win7 computer had no problem recognizing any of my cameras.

The SX110 uses the PTP camera protocol, and it should connect and be recognized by Windows (all >= XP) and mapped to a drive letter with no additional software required at all. If you just want to get pictures off your camera, you do not need to load any software. That it doesn't work makes me think either you are (a) running into a Windows 7 issue with USB drivers getting messed up, or (b) your work IT department has locked down the system to the point that - in spite of what they may say - USB PTP camera connections do not work. Either way, you are going to have to get your IT department/help desk to work on it. If they have a policy allowing camera connections, and it's work related photography, they need to make it work.
