It's a shame I have to go to the nearest butterfly house to see these instead of my back garden, ho hum!:(

great capture! There's a butterfly park about 70 miles from where I live, but with gasoline prices as high as they are.....I haven't gathered the will to drive out there.

I really like this shot. I wish there was a butterfly house around here - chasing them around the backyard is Sooo frustrating at times :-) !

Interesting shot, where is the butterfly's abdomen? Is it black and fades into the background.?

I think it's missing it's abdomen? The focus on the butterfly is sharp and there looks to be enough DOF that it shouldn't have faded into the background to quickly.

It appears to be obscured by the wings, I never noticed it before but if you look closely you canjust see the start of it behind the thorax.

Great shot. At least you have one nearby. I don't think we have any butterfly house around where I live :(

Very well done, DOF is perfect, crisp and sharp, the only thing missing is the Abdomen, just kidding, great shot.:D :D :D
