Please post ONLY shots with the 70-200L 2.8IS MK I with the canon 2X teleconverter.

Ive spent countless hours dabbling on these forums looking for that great image shot with a canon EF 70-200L 2.8 IS (MARK 1) plus the canon 2X teleconverter. I'm not looking for a comparison with any other combination or lens. I know the 100-400 is better and this is not a 100-40 thread. Maybe no one is using this combo anymore but the shots have to be out there. My search has ended pretty fruitless so here is my last resort. I'm looking for real world shots not a wesite with lines at 100% crops. Someone has to have some decent shots using this combo. I am looking to buy the mkIII 2x soon and later next year upgrade to the mkII 70-200 or a 300 prime. Thanks for reading and please post some shots. :D

I have a few but won't get to post any until tomorrow, my computer crashed and many of my edited JPEGS were lost so I have to re-edit a few from the RAW file before posting. I am kinda new to the forum. Can I just paste the flickr link into my post?

If you get jammed I can go take a few. But the 2X for me has never been stellar on any lens. The only time I use it is when I have no other choice.

I have the Kenko 1.4x Pro 300 and the Canon 2x EF Extender II. The Canon 2x gives pretty much the same IQ as the Kenko 1.4x.

There's always a trade-off -- With a 2X, I must stop down to get a reasonably sharp result, and doing that impacts DOF, thus the look of the photo. It also pushes ISO up unless I'm on a tripod with a still subject, so once again more trade-off.

It will work in good light, as the safari shots demonstrate.

I just pulled the 400mm shots from Lightroom the safari pictures were taken with a rebel xti.
