Was on a nature shoot Sat. Oct. 1, 2005 near Ponca, Arkansas, and saw the claw marks of a bear on this beech tree, where it had obviously marked it's territory. There were claw marks on both sides of the tree approx. 6 to 7 feet off the ground.
