1D Price

I'll be getting a 1D sometime in the next month. The current price for the US version on average is $3,599, from a reputable dealer (B&H/Adorama/J&R). Does anyone think that this price will get any lower? Should I wait till the next generation 1D comes out?

The 1Ds is fairly new,.. and with its features and 11 Megapixels,.. it may be a while before another 1D version comes along.

That said, the 10D seems to be having an effect on all Digital SLR prices,... Nikon D100 and Fuji are allready coming down in price. With the 1Ds out there as well,. the 1D may come down some more soon. Maybe.

I finally found a great price for a 1D! Dell is offering 20% (just ask) off $3,999 which brings the price to $3,199 plus free shipping. Currently B&H/Adorama is selling the 1D for $3,599. With the money I saved I can get an extra battery and anothe 1G microdrive now. This deal is not as good as when they offered 25% off a month ago but good enough for me. Plus I can't wait any longer!
