Make a search for your local area too and find local tweeters. You wouldn't believe the work/opportunities I have got through Twitter so it's well worth doing.

when I saw it earlier on Flickr (following your link on Twitter!) I thought blade blur might be worth including too... but it is a corker of a shot nonetheless!

I did one with the blades silghtly turning, although got confused as to why I did it...

It makes sense having them turning, but as they never do in real life thought it might detract from the picture (not that flying corn happens unless theres a tornado :D). The more i looked at it the more the photograph annoyed me so left it as it was. Hmmm decisions! :D

Thanks for all the kind comments tho :)

I'm just watching the latest Apple Keynote.

All of this data seamlessly flying around from one device to another, like uploading iPhone photos to iCloud, sounds great ... But I wonder who's going to pay your phone bill when you go over your monthly data allowance without having lifted a finger?

I probably took a couple of hundred iPhone photos at the Chelsea Flower show alone this year, that would eaten into my monthly 500Mb.

Hopefully there will be a prominent WiFi only option.

i really should do this. How does one search for local tweeters?

Depends how you use Twitter. Tweetdeck - create a new column that searches for "Tunbridge Wells" for instance and the second someone mentions it it will appear in that column, you can then follow or chat to that person.

Twitter app - same sort of thing, just save a search for "Tunbridge Wells" for instance.

You can also use Formulists to create on the fly lists if you want.

What about the issue that Sony have at present. The cloud gets hacked, then what?

Unless it's WiFi only, or we get better data deals, I think I'll be turning that off.

Well had a last minute Urbex trip this morning, long drive down to the recently closed Cadbury's factory in Bristol. Morning didn't get off too well when scaling the fence I did this.

http://m.flickr.com/photos/ajj_photography/5811881630/sizes/m/

Was wearing leather palmed gloves but it went right through. Quick dressing and bandage and we was on our way again. Place is crawling with workmen but we spotted a way into the vast power house, just scaling up a window when we spot to high viz's running our way. Stay or run........well we ran a long way oiver two fences and then the hand shredder with one guard still on our tail. Thought bugger it and stopped blooody exhausted, little did we know that the guy chasing us was an amateur marathon runner. Police called etc. Questioned and slapped on the wrist.

Been in the walk in center but referred to the hispital as the cut is too deep and near the tendons, so sat in A&E waiting.

There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses.

One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it to see what it was about.

The letter read:

Dear God,
I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension.
Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had £100 in it, which was all the money I had
until my next pension payment. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of
my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have
no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?

Sincerely, Edna

The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars..

By the time he made the rounds, he had collected £96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman..

The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends.

Christmas came and went.

A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God.

All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.
It read:

Dear God,

How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?
Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends.
We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift.
By the way, there was £4 missing.
I think it might have been those bastards at the post office.

Sincerely, Edna

Cannot see the gore image even with Neal's revised linky??? But Victor this is the second hand injury you have sustained, you have got to be more carefull my friend  Perhaps you should get a pair of slaughtermans chainmail gloves?

Change it to Mount Badger - sounds very grand.

You could tell people you own a mountain. ( I wouldn't suggested you say that you live in one though. That could sound a bit gippo; as if you lived in a dank cave. Unless of course you were actually a bond villain- that would be the perfect secret hideout that everyone could know about.)

Yeah its going well. There have been a few leavers at work so i have progressed quite quickly. I now run all of the marketing for customers in Ireland as well as city/log haul travel for the UK.
Found some quirky things yesterday but wish i had kept my mouth shut - i just made more work for myself!

Bonjour JD, hope the "research" trip was good and you we're suitably fed & watered?

It was fantastic. The hotel was great, excellent rooms, service and the food was great. It's run by a young English couple who were also great fun. For what they provide, the prices (€99 to €119 inc brekky) are a steal. All that was, however, over shadowed buy our lunchtime appointment at the restaurant "La Maison" in the little village of Flechin. One of my colleagues here has just translated the menu:

Appetizers (Amuse bouche) : Asparagus and Chorizo with a whipped cream of blackberries and smooth glossy of sorrel, black sesame grains and candy of herbs

Starters : dim sum of wild asparagus, tartines with seasonal vegetables with honey, vinaigrette of ginger and carrots – or - foie gras of duck half cooked with genièvre (like a shnaps) of Houle and pepper of Sichuan, chutney of fruits and rustic bun.

Main course : poached sea bass with milk and peppers and with algae, foam of coconut milk and curcuma, sweet potato and soya beans - or – lamb shank candied 7 hours in thyme, foam of Tonka beans, peas pudding, quinoa and fejoa

Candied prunes with “Saint Amour”

Desserts : Chocolate mousse, biscuit and spices, milk cinnamon and dark chocolate sorbet and Espelette peppers – or – Cranberry pudding with crunchy praline, dessert crème with whiskey and Bailey’s sorbet

Wine : Cheverny blanc domaine Hanusseau

If you are paying, that would set you back €39 each and the wine is around €23 per bottle. If you are ever anywhere near Calais (and I count Dartford as close enough!) you should get down to this place - you will not regret it. Hopefully when I get home tonight, I will share a couple of photo's from the lunch.

Looked at the glove this morning not a mark on it, not punctured or cut ?? It was not on barbed wire, it was a large bolt that was holding the fence up, that I got hung up on as coming over the top........but the glove is like new.......go figure???

Link of the injured hand back up.......... spent two hrs in the walk in center and then another three in A&E, partiall ligament damage and three stitches and I was on my way.

Looked at the glove this morning not a mark on it, not punctured or cut ?? It was not on barbed wire, it was a large bolt that was holding the fence up, that I got hung up on as coming over the top........but the glove is like new.......go figure???

:D :D :D :D :D :D
