How do I go about setting this up? I don't want to have to get a lawyer, I'm not an actual business, it's just me and my dad doing weddings. We picked out a name, we just need to have something so people don't try and "pull one over on us". Can anyone help?

Be careful. Its not that simple. You & your dad need something more than just a simple contract. The Wedding business can be brutal. Ask Bloo Dog. ;) Make sure that all your bases are covered.

I did some research on some of those sites, researched some of the laws in this state (New York), and compiled my own, based on my personal needs. My father isn't exactly included in the contract. I believe he falls under the "any choice of additional photographers is left to the discretion of the hired photographer" or something along those lines. It's in writing on my other pc. I think I've got it all covered. I figure there's probably something not quite right about it, but I'll have to make some mistakes in order to learn. I've never needed a contract in the past, but I think now it's a good idea.
