Hey Baldie, What kind is this?
I just have the damnedest time id'ing these guys.

Nice shot. It fi wasn't for that neon blue abdomen he'd be really hard to see (semi-camoflagued).

Sorry I'm late on a reply, Been visiting the Dentist lately, I'd rather be surrounded by swarms of hungry mosqutioes. What you have there is what is called a "Common Green Darner" or Anax junius, means "Lord and Master of June" this guy is very aggressive and will chase Hummingbirds. hope this helps. It is a great capture, but the background is stealing the image away. I don't know what you can do, I would be happy to have taken the picture.

This particular kind preys on many different kinds of insects and is very territorial as well. downright ferocious. :D ;) ;) :D
