Had a good day at lydden, lovely weather and the supercars are amazing so fast. When we got to the heats the racing was really good.
#1 Tanner Foust leading Heat 1 of the supercars.

Not sure how many pictures i can post in one post so will put mondays up in this one. Arrived late after spending three hours walking round the Kent countryside trying to find it after getting of the bus in the wrong place. Anyway onto the pics, didnt move from the hairpin as everywhere else was packed to the rafters.

Love RallyCross shots!
How is Tanner viewed by the European fans? Its tough to gauge the response to his competing in the series from over here sometimes.

Number 1 is a great shot! Brakes locking up in front, wheel off the ground in the back. Everyone enjoyed Rallycross when it was here in New Jersey last year. I really hope this kind of racing catches on here in the states.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Tanners loved by the european fans, quite a few people round the circuit seemed to be speaking positively of him. I think they like him because all the through the heats and b final he always looked like he was giving 100%.
I reckon it will if the Global Rallycross is as good as the european rallycross then there should be no reason why it wouldnt catch on.

I've been looking at coverage of Global Rallycross, and the stands aren't nearly as packed as they could be. I don't think they do a lot of advertising and TV coverage is on tape delay, very late at night so not a lot of exposure. Which I don't understand because who doesn't want to watch cars take on a 70 foot jump door to door?
And Tanner is a really nice guy if you get to talk to him. We went through my camera at one of the rallies last year and he liked a bunch of shots I got and gave me his email address. I was hoping to get some pics signed by him this year, but they aren't coming back to Jersey. :( Dex if you go to any more races this year, be sure to post more. I love looking at rallycross pics.

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM was perfect timing in the mountain time zone for the broadcast of round 1!
It sounds like there were thousands more people at round 2 than there was at round 1. It sounds like they are expecting up to 5-6,000+ people at round 3 over the weekend here in Colorado.
