lens choice

hi

i am about to purchase the following

sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG (82mm)
sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX HSM

for an EOS 10D and EOS 5

has anyone got anything to say good or bad, especially about the 24-70

I don't know anything about the 24-70 but I do know that the 70-220 2.8 HSM is not as good as the less expensive Canon 70-200 4L (I have compared those lenses directly). You might want to consider something like the Canon 28-135 IS if you are on a budget and steer clear of the Sigma glass.
