I originally posted this on the general chat - but hope to get more responses here:

This arrived in my e-mail box out of the blue. I've sold prints before and have a standard price, but where do I start pricing for something like this?

"I am trying to contact Damian, Photographer who took THIS PHOTO:

If you are this Damian Waters, or know how to get this e-mail to him, please
read the following.
Dear Damian,
I am an engineer with the auto industry.
From time to time, I do some outside consulting.
For that purpose, I formed a company, Clever Sheep, Inc.
I found your "clever sheep" photo using google.

I would like to use this photo on my business cards, perhaps on my stationary
and website as well (cleversheepinc.com - it is just a place holder at present).
How much would you charge for this (non-exclusive) use of your photo?
I hope that it will be a small amount because I am only a small company with
only sporatic income."

"Pricing Photography" is a great book for figuring out what to charge. It's included on this handy list of "What should I charge" books on Amazon:

let them make an offer... keep in mind, he/they want to use your image to brand their company
