Future Blues

So, I'm in Japan now, busy busy with language study, but I've managed to take a number of pictures as well. Tonight I wanted to post-process a few of my images, but ended up playing with just a single piece.
Tried a few things. Tried some color correction, and came up with nothing. The original cast is a little blue, I think, but my efforts to correct it came out with two outcomes. One ended up too yellow, almost too natural looking, while the other ended up looking like there was a layer of smoke between me and the picture. I'll likely still play around with it later, although because I shot this particular piece in JPG, I can't really do the things I might be able to have done, had I shot it in RAW.
Edit: Some info on Basara Matsuri: It's a matsuri (festival) held in Nara. Basara means something along the lines of "Dance" or "Dancing". I actually got lucky and ended up going to orientation in Nara while the festival was going on, so I managed to get a few shots (and participate in a cool festival) that I wouldn't have otherwise had the chance to capture. I hope you enjoy this shot (and more, when I get time to go through them). Please critique and comment.

I applied a minimal amount of sharpening in photoshop (150% / 1 / 3 or 4; for those of you familiar with the unsharp mask tool. I sharpened the luminosity channel in Lab Color mode. The original picture was stunning, despite being taken in JPG even before I applied any sharpening whatsoever.
EXIF:
Lens: Canon f/1.4 50mm
F-Stop: f/4
Focal Length: 50 mm
Mode: Aperture Priority
Shutter: 1/640s
I have more pictures of Basara Matsuri in Nara, as well as a number of other cool things, but I haven't had time to work with any of them, so soon. :) I'll try to post a black and white version of this that I'm working on within a few days if people are interested.
