Well, yeahh I actually own this lens. The Tamron AF 200-400mm LD IF

If you own this Tamron too .. Show the photos you've taken with it, please!

Now, I'll give you a mini review now.. just the cons and the pro's !

Pro's:
- It's cheap.
- Good build quality ! (Metal body)
- Good IQ + Sharpness around the 200-300mm Range
- The AF is precise.
- Switched to MF, the focusing ring is very smooth
- A tripod collar ! and it's working!
- Metal mount
- A lens hood!
- Inner Focus (nothing sticks out )

Cons:
- The AF motor is a bit too slow.. though not the slowest I've ever used.
- The IQ around 300-400mm is not good but not bad either. Just a bit on the soft side. [Improvement @ f/8 or f/11]
- A bit too much CA around contrasty areas. [Improvement @ f/8 or f/11]
- Missing IS (But it's an old lens + it's cheap!)
- In real. This lens doesn't have a constant aperture [f/5.6] but [ f/4.5-5.6 ] well, this is actually makes the lens look better !
- Bit heavy. but what do you expect for such a telephoto lens !?
- Missing 400mm on my EXIF data.. it shows 390mm?

So, I got this lens around €200 euros and it's still a great lens to work with. The only advice I can give you if you are about to buy this lens used, is .. USE A TRIPOD or a MONOPOD .. because you can lower the risk of having shaky images at around 300mm-400mm (which I had on the sample photos) ! The sample images are beneath and it is taken without a tripod and was handheld.
