How about giving us some parameters. What's important to you?
1. What camera/lens combo are you using?
2. Is weight an issue? (i.e. will you be carrying the tripod around a lot?)
3. Are you more concerned with rigidity than weight?
4. What kind of shooting do you plan to use it for?
5. What is your budget?
These are things that would be helpful to know before making a recommendation.

I would like to have a ridgid tripod nothing to light. It will be used for macro, portraits, and various other types of photography. My budget would be around $200 USD.

I've been 12/10 happy with my Feisol carbon fibre tripod and monopod ... which are both light to carry yet very rigid and flexible to use. Worth checking out at www.feisol.com

I recently bought the Manfrotto 3021. Not feather light but not too heavy. Really sturdy. Make sure you match it with a good quality ball, panning head.

love my gitzo explorer (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=206491&is=REG&addedTroughType=search) - versatility easily beats any other tripod. If you shoot macros close to the ground or still life/product shots and need to get the camera in odd positions, this is the bomb.
Also I like the acratech ballhead. but arca stuff costs a lot more than the manfrotto ballheads.

I agreee with Blue Deuce, I like my Manfrotto 3021. It's very sturdy, but not the lightest.

Manfrotto 3001Pro. Not quite as heavy as the 3021.

Look at the Velbon Chaser EFL-3 or 4. About $80. Add a Giottos med ball head for $90 and you have a great. low cost travel tripod. I use mine with a kirk quik release platform, but that isn't really necesary. The 3 has 3 leg sections and the the 4 has (you guessed it, 4) and is smaller for fitting in luggage. When weight and size aren't important, I used my gitzo explorer with Kirk BH-3 ballhead, but I am very satisfied with the Velbon and could use it everyday. Really a lot of tripod for the money.
