hello.. awesome program you have... but i have one question.. is there anyway to change the ammount of detail that appears under the photos? instead of showing every detail about the photo... I'd like to to just say the photographers name, the camera used, the lens used, and maybe 1 or 2 more details but not the 3 lines that it displays now... information overload for my guests :)
Thanks for your help anyone.

I couldn't quite find a way to turn all that I wanted off either. So, I just went into the file itself and removed anything I didn't want to be shown. The results can be seen at http://www.somnifacient.us/gallery/photo.php?photo=617&exhibition=14 .

awesome.. i like the layout of your gallery, and the link bar at the top.. is this a 1.3 feature? or did you modify the code yourself? thanks for your reply

Thanks for the kind words. I modified things slightly to make it fit into my layout (anything above 'Somnifacient Photography' in red, and below the EE logo on the bottom is my layout), and then cut out anything that I didn't want to show.
While modifying the way it shows categories (or bands in my case), I found it rather annoying that if you have a category that comes before 'All' alphabetically, it's displayed before it. Personally, I wanted 'All' to be the top item at all times. So, I changed it so that it would. Just thought I'd pass that on to Pekka.

I like it, it would be very handy for morons like me if you could do a walk through of how you changed the design
Pretty please?
Especially the search function editing and which database field you used for the band types?
I understand if you don't want to but it would help me enormously.

I will be a bit busy shooting a wedding this weekend, but I'll see if I can grab the original code and compare it to what I now have so I can put something together to show what lines to change or remove. I'll post something up sometime next week.

yeah, I'd be interested in the answer to this also. If, that is, I understood what the heck the OP was asking.
