Am thinking of replacing my EFS 17-85 IS with one of these two lenses. I need something between my 17-40L and my 70-200L f4 IS. Like the price and IS of the 24-105L even though it's slower than the 24-70L. How do the two compare as to image quality? Can afford either, and am wondering if the extra speed of the 24-70 is worth the extra $$$.
