My friend just bought a Powershot S50 and I was setting it up for him. I found programming the date time, etc was very frustrating using the little arrow keys. And the fact that the Set key was incorporated within the arrow keys. Also setting anything up in the menu screen using those arrow keys was very difficult. My G2 camera has separate arrows instead of them being on one button. Has anyone else have problems using these little arrow keys? Its not that I have big fingers or anything. Maybe I'm spoilt with the G2.

I have a G2 and an S50. With the S50 it is awkward at first and then you get used to it. It's not the best omni control system or whatever it's called but the camera produces awesome photos. I love my G2 but I find the S50 a lot easier to use.

I owned an S30, an the controller is even worse than S50 since the surface is curved, not flat. It takes some time for me to practice, but once you get used to it, you'll find it perfectly natural and fast to change setting.

I figured out the arrows now. I did not realise that the whole button moved up and down. I thought you had to press right on the arrows but you don't. I get it now! Great camera. I like the controls now better than my G2. But I bet I can get better closeups with my new macro lens on the G2.
