Buyers remorse about Canon 17-55mm 2.8

So this noob picked up some aswesome glass today! After work i hurried into my car drove across to the city and picked this bad boy up from B & H. Along with a 77m UV filter and a pearstone hood. Oh boy did I feel bad buying this lens. Literally just feels like i got punched in the gut! To spend so much money on a lens is a first for me. Im loving the pics. Heres my first one out of my apartment window.

Do you guys think I should sell off my 18-135 kit lens for $300.00 ? Its in mint condition and dont really have much need for the longer focal length. Or should I hold on to it?

Try removing the filter... ;)

Also, gonna need to use the lens for a while to learn how to use it and get the best shots out of it.
