Croft race circuit today for some club bike racing. Unlike the Aston Martin meeting yesterday, today was dry. However it was bitterly cold as the wind whipped across an open track. These are a bit of a mixture from the day and from various locations around the circuit (non-media, guess where the less obvious are). I'll get the hang of these two wheeled things one day.

Love the fall colours on the track... gives a since of time and place. Please don't improve too much, you'll make me all that more discouraged with my own meager tallent..... cheers.

'Tis a shame that you really don't know what you're doing with these bikes. :-)
I love #6 for the intensity of the capture and #8 for the beauty of the picture.

Excellent stuff.

Very nice, Ken. It should be a rule that only clear visors are allowed. The photographs are much better when you can see the eyes.

Nice set of shots Ken. Not back from Nottingham in time to make it along on Sunday. The riders might not have appreciated them, but I like the fallen leaves in some of the shots you've posted. Adds more atmosphere to the shots and helps place the time of year.

Simon.

Lovely stuff ! :) If only i could turn out shots like that whilst getting the hang of shooting bikes

I was planning to go to Croft for this myself...practice, practice, practice etc, but as my work car decided to blow it's engine last week i'm in economy mode for a few weeks until i know what the financial damage is..

I'll be there for the RallyCross though :)

I have an opportunity to add a couple of the BSB meetings to my list of major events next year and have used the club racing to keep my hand in. To be honest I did cover a bit of bike racing a few years ago for one of the northern newspapers but got sidetracked when I bought a Formula Ford and started racing myself.

I'm going to repeat myself ... I don't look at many motorsports images any more because they are simply boring ... but I gotta say that I look at everything of yours ... there is simply something more compelling and juicey about your images than most everyone else ... I was actually leaning in my chair to compensate for the corners looking at these.

I am sure Ken would get some good angles on a snail race.

Is it just me and my monitor is something funky going on with the riders visor in the 1st shot?

KennyG

The visor is a graduated coloured reflective type. Here is a crop of the orginal. 1D MK-II with 300 2.8IS and 1.4TC.

Ahhh! Now I can see the detail it makes perfect sense.
I knew it had to a reflection of some kind, I just couldn't work what was going on.

Hi Ian - See you at the Rallycross? There were none of the usual suspects around on Sunday. The media sign-in only had half a dozen entries and most of those were from the guys who print on-site. I'll be at the Renault winter series meeting as well as the two rallycross (assuming they both go ahead this time).

Phil House won the VW cup by the way. Croft are pleased as they sponsor him.
