G2 and 1 GB Compact Flash Cards

Does the G2 recognise a 1 GB compact flash card ( I have a Legend 128 Mb)?

if yes, are there any recommnedations for a particular brand?

I've used a 1Gb IMB Microdrive and also a 1Gb Sandisk Ultra II in my G2.

Both have worked without a problem. If I were in your position I would look out for the Sandisk or possibly a Kingston (elite - I think this is the range name).

Sandisk CF cards are somewhat the best there are IMHO.
I have 4 of them with no problem whatsoever.

I use viking cards in my G3 .... never had any probs ... they do 1GB cards
