Interesting shots. I took a few shots tonight but couldn't get enough earthshine to make a decent picture. This one was taken around 8:00 pm... It was taken with the 300D, 75-300 IS and a Kenko 1.5 TC for a 450mm shot.

Thanks, Jon :) A suggestion is perhaps go slightly
easier on sharpening (Photoshop ~ Edit->Fade) 'cause
it totally blew out the ridge long the edge of the moon
in your shot :( I used 2have the same problems - well still
kinda do lol. But its something most don't notice.

THats is excellent. What do you think of the Celestron 80ED? I was going to get the Orion 80ED but I may wait for a 85mm Triplet APO televue
Good focus too!

I like it alot. Its smaller and lighter than Orion's 80ED but it only has
a R&P focuser (Orion's has a Crayford) but it is a good quality R&P focuser.
You can get it $100 cheaper if you shop round ( http://handsonoptics.com ) !
Tele Vue would be hellova lot quality though :D

Here's some recent Moon photo's from me. Enjoy.
Both were shot using a Canon 400mm f/2.8 L IS USM using a Canon 2x converter on a Canon EOS 20D body, Manfrotto Tripod, Canon Remote Control utilising mirror-lock-up.
Enhancements (levels, sharpening) and borders done in Photoshop CS2.

Thanks for that. Found it. It was called "Ashford" by the way.
