Finally putting my 70-300APO to good use, took out slapped it into (pseudo)macro mode and mounted her to a tripod and started snapping away. I loved how "close" I was able to get, and am definitely seeing a 70-200/2.8 and extension tubes in my future =) I'm always wanting to get closer physically, using 200mm instead of 300. Anyway, here are some shots.

Be nice! I'm new at this =)

(I'm only going to post the ones I like, I'll link the rest! Better for those low bandwidth people!)

I'm thinking number 4 is "good" enough for me to print and frame. My first wallhanger! I'll give it as a gift to the kind family friends that gave us those flowers!

Enjoy!

Anyway, here are some shots. Hi Kevin, Anything shot closer than, and in higher magnification than what a "Normal" lens is capable of should be considered macro. There are varying degrees of macro from say 1:8 x life size and up. 1:1 lifesize or better is what I like to refer to as Super Macro. Your shots look very good to me, AND definitely fall into the macro catagory. :D

that lense is capable of some great shots...why don't you get the tubes now and try it with your Sigma?

Thanks for all your comments!

//edit: The 70-300APO is really sharp @ f/8, 200mm, MLU and time delay shutter =)
