The symptoms mentioned in the reports statements from first Canon France and later Canon Germany matched what I was finding with my 10D.

It has returned and, on the basis of this evidence, would seem to be much better:

This is a 100% crop take with my 135/2 - not admittedly with a huge aperture, f/8, but I'm not going to be paranoid when I get results like this. There are some more examples in this gallery:

BTW, these have all been developed using C1LE with no additional processing in PS except cropping and downsizing.

Well done Roger,

I'm glad you have been reunited. I'd be gutted if mine had to go back. Still, Canon seemed to have sorted it for you and it didn't take too long?

Cool pic.

Roger ,
Glad to see your camera is snapping such fine looking images. I hadn't realized your 10d had to go back to Canon. Glad it seems to've worked out too. I can't stand it when I suspect something of not working correctly. I had to send my d60 back to remove debris or clean the sensor. They sent it back saying they had "tweaked" the software. no other explanation. The camera seems to work well for a novice like me so far.

I'm really comenting because your web site is not behaving too well on my computer. I have a dsl line and usually down load web sites quite fast . I seem to be having trouble with yours. .. it is comming up rather slowly and the images are little black squares ( I did refresh to no avail ) . Just a comment. If it is working well for all else please disregard.

Peace
Eric.

Eric,

Thanks for mentioning this. It's a recurring problem and I'm not sure why it happens. I even get it sometimes, though you'd think everything was already cached on my PC.

(*&^*^*&^(* computers!

Roger,

Glad to see that Canon is responding well to 10D problems. Just one thing - what does the quoted statement mean?

C1LE = Capture One DSLR Limited Edition: it's the latest entry into the raw converter market. It has ome quirks and limitations, but I like the end results.
