I have just got back from shooting the Bathurst 1000. What a fantastic race meeting. Here are some shots from the week-end.

Great shots . Really like the podium one too . Well done .
Must say i'm, sick of the look of that rotten team australia car (I wish they would change there name as there reperesentation was a joke ) . .That thing spent more time in the sand than on the track , and brought out the safety car at least twice IIRC .

Very nice stuff, the Shot of Murph is very good, it breaks all the rules, yet conveys some atmoshper of the event, I like it a lot.
Is the Team Australia car an attempt to copy Team Kiwi Racing? But in a Ford?

I was waiting for the Bathurst shots.. Awesome shots you got there.. I can see you did a bit of leg worth to walk all the way around the track. Wished I was there. I guess I'll have to wait for last round at Philip Island. Team Australica car looks like the Australian cricket uniforms.. Not a fan of it at all.. Was an awesome race though. Lots of pileups and crashes.. And of course Holden and Skaife won which is a bonus. Bit of a shame that Murphy got crashed out by Ambrose. He's a good bloke but had bad luck.

Team Australia.. Yet it has a Canadian driver?
Fun event to watch anyway. Thanks for reminding me in the 4th pic, what Lowndes car "used" to look like
Did you get one later on? The car was a wreck. :D
I love the Murphy and crowd shot too.
Makes me want to look at my Pukekohe photos again. :)

Great shots. I particularly like the shot of the start.. too bad ford didn't finish the same way :)
I too will be at Phillip Island later.. but need to cut my teeth on a few club sprints in the mean time.

Thanks for your comments! Yes, the Team Australia car colours do look a bit like the Australia cricket team colour. The car seems to spend more time off the track then on it. I must say that the Bathurst track is way bigger then it looks on TV.
Here is a shot of the Lowndes/Muller car later in the race.
