Windows XP drivers

I have a Canoscan FS2710 slide scanner. It works fine on Win98, but I'm looking at a new computer with XP.
There's an Windows XP driver on the Canon website that is supposed to work for my FS2710. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it out yet. I don't want to switch to XP if my scanner won't work on it.
