Folks,

I hope one of you could help me.

Recently, I bought a canon S400 & everything was OK. I like its size, features & the photos (but not the video clip).

Unfortunately in this week, the ZoomBrowser didn't work. It generated an error message & shut down the window automatically; but the software, I guess, was still running at the background.

I uninstalled everything and then re-installed again Windows 2000, IE 6, Yahoo Messenger & Direct X 9 again. But the following same error message was still generated when I tried to download pictures from S400.

"ZoomBrowser.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program."

Well seems the same old story with troublesome Canon Software...... I use a G2 and a friend of mine is using an A20...we both upgraded to ZB4..... after a while the "same old" error messages reappeared.

Well I am using Windows 98 and my friend Windows XP.
We both deleted the Canon Browser and in installed Downloader v1.4 and Exifer Browser.
The only thing is that to convert RAW files, one must do this manually....but this is little price to pay for peace of mind in finding some Canon compatible software that is trouble free.

you can do a search for both these software proucts ....try Copernic or similar search programs.

Best of luck

Peter Bennett.

ZoomBrowser 4.1 works well in my office PC but not in my home PC even they are using same Windows 2000 platform. Now I use Picasa's trial version with a SanDisk's card reader. Downloading any avi movie clips is no longer a problem.
