I have been asked to shoot a Fashion show at a local clothing store. Any suggestions you have would be VERY HELPFUL.

How would you "pro's" shoot this? Here is the equipment I have:

Canon 20D
EF 70-200mm IS F2.8
EF 28-135mm IS F3.5

Like I said, ANY ADVICE will be welcome.

Skip the 28-135...that's no good for indoor events.

It's not no good, it's just not as fast or as good glass as the other lens. If he needs a wider lens than the other choice, obviously this is the one to use. Hopefully there would be enough light.

Forgot to mention that I also have a 580ex. I can borrow a 24-70 f2.8 and I also still have the 18-55 that came with the camera.

How close to the runway can you get? One think you will want to do is get their early and set your exposure and flash output manually. The first fashion show I shot had really strong lights going straight at the models. I shot with ETTL and ended up having a lot of blown out highlights in the faces even though I had pumped in a -2/3EC

Thanks, for everything. The Stage was so well lit that I was able to use the 70-200 f2.8 throughout most of it without being to intrusive to the audience. I did some close up shots with the 17-85 and the 580 with ETTL with -2/3EC. Got some really neat stuff.

Again Thanks!
