I have a Cannon ixus AiAF 2.1 mega pixels, with a 64 mb flash card, the flash card is integal, compactflash.

Haveing been on holiday to Mexico i filled up my flash memory with all the family pics, as you do.

On return home my wife took the flash memory to get a hard copy of the photo's on arrival to the shop she was told that the card had not pictures on it.

When i tried look for the pictures on the card the camera would not turn on, but if i put another flash memory card in the camera, it will turn on.

I also purchased a card reader to see if i could recover the pictures myself but the same thing if i ut the integal flash card in the reader it will not read the card????

Any help on this? your hopefully.

Roy.

Roy,

I'm not going to kid you or give you false hope here.

The flash card manufacturer knows their card better than anyone else. Get in touch with them right away and don't let anyone else touch the card until you do. This is very, very important.

Next, there are many here with similar stories; You are not at all alone, my friend. I wish you luck!

(Air fares are at a record low - tell the family, "I have bad news and good news!")

Roy,

You could try this mob:

http://www.datarescue.com/photorescue/

I have read lots of favourable comments, but (luckily) have not tried them myself.

You could also try www.lc-tech.com/photorecovery.htm. I understand it works well.
