Whilst in Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand, managed to take a few shots at a couple of different bungee locations. Both run by AJ Hackett Bungy.
First two are the Ledge Bungy and Swing, up the top of the Skyline Skyrides, gondalas, and luge ride. Last two are from the Kawarau Bungy, not too far down the road.

I haven't been skydiving, but photographed some along the way. Saw some in Taupo, and some Paragliders in Queenstown.

Wazza, we going to see you tied to the bungy and the ground rapidly getting closer?

Now that would be cool!
5 fps. :D
I would love to do the Sky Tower mast climb as well one day. For one, I love it's design, and have been drawing it, since the first concept drawings, I saw of it, back in about 1995. A pity, I bet they won't allow loose objects, such as a 1.5 kg 17-40+20D to be 300metres up a mast!

that first pic is a cracker Wazza, and the paragliding one too.
Queenstown makes the Taupo bungee I did a couple of years ago look like a drop in the bucket...

Thanks. You'll have to do the Sky Tower jump. I'll take a pic of you falling down, with your 100-400L. :D

Shucks, forgot to post the outcome of the 4th image. He was complaining afterwards. Asked to touch the water with his hands, but went half in.

Thanks everyone.
There's no PP on these, apart from the first two were converted from RAWs, and the other two were JPGs, so I wouldn't fill the buffer fast, for shooting lots.
All these have been edited from my 2 week South Island trip, and all I've had time for is to resize to 800 pixels, and a bit of USM to crisp them back up after the resize.
If anyone's noticed, on the 3rd pic, the girl has "64" marked on her left hand. That's her weight in kg. Let's hope the safety officers, don't transpose figures in their head, and put the wrong rope length on.

Absolutley stunning shots and backdrop, can't think why anybody would want to throw themselves off a perfectly stable platform but you have caught them beautifully.

I think everybody gets weighed, if they believed what people told them their mass was there would be a lot of heads hitting the river bed!!

The nutcases, who jump, are definately weighed, on accurate digital scales, and observed by 2 workers, and obviously the person doing it.
Anyone notice the guys face. Jumping he looks normal, but with the rush of blood to his head, it's all red.
