While driving on the Katy Prairie last week, I saw this enormous Great Blue Heron. I took several shots and today while working in PS, I noticed how "rough" he looked. His plumage is unkempt, his bill is weathered and worn and his legs are VERY thick. I am wondering if this is a very old bird. Several have posted GBH shots so I am hoping for an expert opinion.
