This birdie forced me to decide to expand my focal range by getting a 300 or a 400 prime (as soon as my much better half gives me the dough :o )

The shot was made hand held with 20D/70-200 f2.8 @ 200 mm.
Yes, in shame I do state I cropped/resized the image to cover up the out-of-camera image inadequacies.
Other than that, no other mucking about with the image was done.

I think it's a juvenile tiger heron. Nice shot!

Thanx lads, the CFC Rebel has ID'd the bird 100%. Previously, CDS came close by guessing it was a "heron" ;) And it ain't a secret, CDS knows his herons.....:D
