Hello,
using linux most times I have two problems when I have to upload a picture to my G2 with windows software.
1. gphoto seems not to be able to upload, so I am not able to use linux to do this. Is there another tool than gphoto under linux available?
2. If I rotated the picture (regardless of the tool or using jhead for preserving the exif information), there are black bars aside the photo and top and bottom of the photo is missing. This also happens on photos I let process. What's wrong with this rotated photos? Is there a way to workaround? In one case I got a frame around the photo. Do not know if I rotated it twice. The information of the top and bottom parts are sill in the file, but they are not presented. When viewing the photos on PC the bars are not there.
